Métabief Ski Resort

Frasne station provides connections to the Métabief resort in the Haut Doubs region, which borders Switzerland. In less than an hour you’ll be enjoying 40 kilometres of slopes at one of the largest ski resorts in the Jura mountains. The ski area introduces you to the slopes of the Mont d’Or mountain, with altitudes ranging between 950 and 1,430 metres. There are three sectors to choose from:

  • Métabief
  • Super-Longevilles
  • Piquemiette

Since 2016, Métabief has been undergoing a major transition from ski resort to all-year mountain resort. It is one of the first French resorts to implement solutions that will ensure its future at a time when climate change is already affecting its winter season.

In summer, the Métabief resort is now a popular mountain biking and hiking hub. It offers a variety of other fun activities too, such as the Luge des Cimes alpine coaster, which is an amazing 710-metre downhill ride open ten months of the year. There are enough sporting activities and thrills to keep you happy all summer and winter!
