A town in the Haut-Doubs region with 2,029 inhabitants, Frasne is situated on a plateau at an altitude of 850 meters at the foot of the Jura mountain range, in the heart of an exceptional natural area.
Set in a landscape reminiscent of the Canadian Great North, the 292 hectares of the Regional Nature Reserve of the Frasne Peatlands shelter ponds, marshes, and fir trees, which provide refuge for a particularly rich variety of flora and fauna.
Frasne is also a crossroads of the Haut-Doubs. Its TGV station connects Frasne to Paris in just 2 hours and 49 minutes, a major asset for economic development.
From its particularly dynamic economic fabric was born the ‘Wood Hub.’ This entity aims to promote the expertise of all the wood industry activities based in Frasne’s industrial area.
